01COMMERCIAL FIT-OUT
Commercial units are often described as shell and core, Cat A or Cat B. Knowing what each means tells you how much work — and money — sits between taking the keys and opening the doors.

It suits businesses that want full control of the space, at the highest fit-out cost.
A Cat A unit adds a basic, functional interior: raised floors or screed, suspended ceilings, distributed air conditioning, general lighting, fire alarms and sprinklers to an open layout, and basic toilets. It is a blank, usable space ready for business-specific work.
Cat B is the business-specific layer: partitions and meeting rooms, reception, pantry, specific lighting, floor finishes, joinery, branding and the adjustments to air conditioning and fire systems the new layout requires. Most fit-out budgets for leased offices are Cat B work.
