01FLOORING INSTALLATION
Marble stays cool underfoot, reflects light and suits the scale of Dubai villas. It is also a natural, porous stone that marks, etches and needs care — so it rewards owners who know what they are choosing.

Lighter, densely veined marbles hide wear better than plain white ones. Seeing actual slabs or a large sample batch, rather than a single tile, shows how much colour variation to expect across a room.
Marble needs a sound, level screed and a white adhesive so it does not discolour. Joints are kept fine for a seamless look. After laying, floors are often ground and polished in place so the surface is perfectly flush, then sealed. Honed finishes show fewer scratches and are less slippery than high polish in kitchens and entrances.
Acidic spills — lemon, vinegar, some cleaning products — etch polished marble, and sand acts like sandpaper under shoes. Doormats, pH-neutral cleaners and periodic resealing keep it looking right, and professional repolishing restores floors that have dulled over years.
